A focused visit for moms who are breastfeeding well overall but want help with pumping comfort, flange sizing, or basic pump setup.
Finding the right flange fit can be confusing. Most pumps come with flanges that are too large for a lot of moms, and ordering multiple sizes, inserts, and styles can get expensive quickly. Measuring can be a helpful starting point, but measurement alone does not always tell us the best fit. Comfort, nipple movement, swelling, milk flow, and how your body responds while pumping all matter too.
This visit may include:
trial of multiple flange sizes or inserts
observation of nipple movement during pumping
basic pump setting guidance
comfort troubleshooting
support choosing between flange options
written flange size recommendation
Best for moms who are experiencing:
pain with pumping
nipple rubbing or swelling
uncertainty about flange size
discomfort with the flanges that came with their pump
low output concerns that may be related to fit
confusion after trying multiple sizes on their own
Please note: flange fitting is included in full lactation consultations when needed. This standalone option is best if breastfeeding is otherwise going well and you only need pumping/flange support, not a full breastfeeding or feeding assessment.
